Tips on for Choosing your Kitchen Sink
The kitchen sink has to be one of the busiest areas of the kitchen, so you need
to ensure you get this part of the design right. When you are looking at
designing your new kitchen there are some fundamental tips to consider when
choosing your kitchen sink:
Purpose: Do you need a single, double or half sink? That all
depends on how you will be using your kitchen sink. If you are a keen cook, you
may want to choose a double sink so you can drain food and wash up at the same
time! Many people who love cooking, go for sinks that have built-in accessories
and can be cleaned easily.
Space: Consider the size of the sink when it is placed under a
window, in a corner or in an island. Certain spaces do not accommodate a large
sink! Corner sinks are a great
space saver and are convenient if you have an unusual shaped kitchen.
Size: If you have a large family and have lots of pots, pans
and utensils you may want to consider a double sink with a tap that has a pull
out spray and a spout that is able to swivel between both bowls.
Accessories: Many of the kitchen sink suppliers now offer a
range of sink accessories
such as drainers, colanders, chopping boards, plate racks, or knife sets.
Kitchen Waste Disposal Unit: With food scraps accounting for
25% of household waste, installing a kitchen
waste disposal unit means that you will be sending less waste to
landfill.
