The amount of water available to the tap is important when choosing which product to buy. The cold water supply is at mains pressure so is generally not of importance; the tap however will require the correct amount of hot water pressure to perform satisfactorily. A range of taps compatible with low pressure situations are now available although the vertical distance between the bottom of the header tank and the tap outlet gives an approximate calculation of the available hot water pressure. This is measured in bar pressure. 1 Metre = 0.1bar, 2 metres = 0.2bar and so on. Our kitchen taps fitting guides aim to give you as much information on the installation.
